Das neue Album WHY NOT? positioniert sich klar zwischen den Eckpfeilern Gothic, Punk und Alternative.

No one less than Nigel Degray, former singer and bassist of the unique gothic band
MARQUEE MOON brings out a release which is really something.
The new band project sounds very atmospheric and the 12 songs on the CD
are reminiscent of his former band and its strongest musical moments.
The title sways between the cornerstones “gothic and punk, respectively alternative” and the lyrics
demonstrate a varied palette from unrequited love to an irreversible apocalypse!
Even Skid Byers, an original member of MARQUEE MOON and former manager also wrote some of the lyrics.
The songs of the current record sound original, fresh and incomparable, and therefore not at all mainstream.
For Nigel Degray and MARQUEE MOON fans its a true joy to listen to again.
The tracks were composed and recorded in different recording sessions
and with the support of a close circle of musicians.

Das erste Album von The Degray Effect
Kein Geringerer als Nigel Degray,
ehemaliger Sänger und Bassist der Ausnahme Gothic-Band MARQUEE MOON,
bringt eine Veröffentlichung heraus, die es in sich hat.
Das neue Bandprojekt klingt sehr atmosphärisch und die 12 Songs auf der CD
erinnern an seine frühere Band und deren stärkste musikalische Momente.
Die Titel pendeln zwischen den Eckpfeilern „Gothic und Punk, bzw. Alternative“ und die Texte zeigen
eine abwechslungsreiche Palette von unerfüllbarer Liebe bis hin zu unumkehrbarer Apokalypse!
Auch Skid Byers, ein Originalmitglied von MARQUEE MOON
und ehemaliger Manager, hat einige der Texte beigetragen.
Die Songs des aktuellen Albums klingen originell, frisch und unverbraucht,
dabei überhaupt nicht nach Mainstream.
Für die Fans von Nigel Degray und MARQUEE MOON dürfte es eine echte
Freude auf ein Wiederhören sein.
Die Stücke wurden in verschiedenen Aufnahmesessions komponiert
und mit der Unterstützung eines engen Kreises von Musikern aufgenommen.
